Nigerian Army Confirms Killing Of Benue’s Most Wanted Criminal, Terwase Akwaza (Gana)




The Nigerian Army has confirmed the killing of Terwase Akwaza, alias “Gana,” labelled the ‘most wished criminal’ in Benue state.


The Commander, four Army Special Forces Command, Doma, Nasarawa state, Moundhey Ali, told journalists on Tuesday 8  Sept 2020, that Gana was killed at a roadblock installed by the army on Gbese-Gboko-Makurdi avenue following trade of gunshot.

It is recalled that the Benue authorities had in 2015 granted amnesty to over five hundred persons as well as Gana, who were terrorising components of Benue and Taraba states, however most of them relapsed into criminality.


Gana become later in 2017 declared wanted via way of means of the police while the Benue government placed a N10 million bounty on him.
